Operations Manager
- Manage the Health and Safety program for Paving Division employees per company Safety Policies, OSHA and DOT standards.
- Review contracts for safety requirements and take a proactive approach to ensure compliance before the commencing of work and throughout the project’s life span.
- Prepare Project Site Specific Plans and provide orientation training for all Subcontractors on Site Specific Plans.
- Collect Safety documentation from all subcontractors and monitor their activities to ensure Safety Compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Attend pre-con meetings, communicate with project PM team and track project activities throughout the life of the project.
- Provide or coordinate task specific OSHA and DOT training for company employees.
- Inspect project sites and equipment to ensure compliance with the State and Federal Safety and Health regulations as well as the company policies and procedures.
- Prepare written reports for all workplace accidents and vehicular accidents with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Investigate all workplace accidents and vehicular accidents to identify root causes and contributing factors for use in future preventative measures and further development of overall company safety program.
- Collaborate with the Safety Director and actively participate in process evaluation of existing policies, processes and procedures.
- Communicate with the Safety Director and Project Management Team concerning safety concerns, results, or anomalies identified to remedy and/or improve Safety program.
- Supervise Safety Paving Section employees by:
Providing guidance, training, coaching and setting expectations to ensure the Paving Division meets training requirements and safety compliance. - Inspire a culture of safety as key to RPM xConstruction’s corporate values and future success.
- Support all areas of safety operations as needed.

- Experience:
10 years of Heavy Civil Construction experience. - Education:
Bachelor's in Safety, Engineering or Business Administration. - Certifications:
ASP, CSHO (Construction) or CHST. - OSHA 10-30 Hour Instructor (Preferred).
- OSHA 30 in Construction required.
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil, heavy equipment and excavation safety.
- Bi-lingual not required but a plus.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills are required.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrates high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make quick decisions in the event of unforeseen situations.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to present in a large meeting or training environment.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to:
Walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying.
