Job Overview

Tavacon, LLC is a Commercial General Contractor based in McKinney, Texas, currently seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our in-office team.

• Reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents to perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
• Soliciting subcontractor proposals and compiling detailed scopes of work.
• Attending pre-bid meetings and conducting site visits as needed during the bidding process.
• Evaluating project scope and requirements to ensure successful project execution.
• Developing preliminary schedules and calculating cost factors for project estimates.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors through effective communication.
• Negotiating subcontractor pricing and managing subcontract buyouts.
• Preparing and submitting RFPs, RFIs, and change orders as required.

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and processes.
• Proficient in computer skills with experience in estimating and project management tools.

$65,000 - $80,000 yearly.
