Position: Construction Project Manager (Industrial / Cleanroom)

Job Summary

Bohden Contracting Group is hiring a Construction Project Manager (Industrial / Cleanroom) who wants more than just managing schedules and pushing paperwork. This is not a typical construction PM role. Our projects involve highly controlled, technical environments—pharmaceutical, cleanroom, industrial, and manufacturing facilities—where system performance, cleanliness, and precision are critical. In this role, you will own projects end‑to‑end, operating as the business lead responsible for financial performance, execution, and client outcomes.

You will manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships with full accountability for results. This position is best suited for a mid‑career Project Manager who is hands‑on, decisive, and comfortable taking ownership, with the ability to manage complex builds and grow into a future leadership role. Candidates with primarily general commercial or residential construction experience may not be a fit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full construction project lifecycle: pre‑construction, planning, execution, and closeout
  • Own project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and cost‑to‑complete accuracy
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure on‑time delivery
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, superintendents, and internal teams
  • Serve as the primary client contact and manage client relationships
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Manage change orders, documentation, and billing processes
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation (contracts, budgets, schedules, reports)
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract specifications, and project requirements
  • Coordinate and understand complex building systems, including HVAC, clean utilities, filtration, and commissioning
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting with demonstrated ownership (not just tracking)
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and cross‑functional team
  • Experience operating in complex or technical project environments
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
  • Proficiency in Procore (required)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, growing company environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, cleanroom, GMP, semiconductor, food manufacturing, or similarly regulated environments (strongly preferred)
  • Experience delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Exposure to commissioning, validation, or technically complex building systems
Work Environment
  • Ownership:
You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
  • Results:
You focus on execution and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Growth:
You’re always improving and looking to level up
  • Efficiency:
You find better ways to get things done
Benefits
  • $150K annually + bonus
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (company covers a portion of employee premiums)
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Clear path for career growth and advancement
