What You Will Do
- Development, analysis, and completion of material proposals and creation of Material Cost Summary (MCS).
- Evaluation of material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and programs with cross‑functional teams.
- Use of company estimating and pricing tools and systems.
- Development of Material Basis of Estimates, including tracking progress, validating supplier quotes, analyzing purchase order history, maintaining program consistency, and verifying estimating approach.
- Compliance of proposals with FAR and internal requirements as material point of contact.
- Development and implementation of solutions for material packages.
- Analysis of inputs supporting material estimates.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, supply chain, accounting/finance, business administration, or equivalent experience and a minimum of eight years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of five years experience.
- Excel experience including formulas, macros, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering, and sorting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Organization and analytical skills.
- Work in teams with peers and management.
- Oral and written communication.
- Meeting deadlines in schedule-driven environments.
- Proposal development, price buildup, and estimating and pricing processes.
- Knowledge of federal proposal regulations including FAR, DFARS, and TINA.
This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) handles the clearance process.
