RPM Utilities, LLC is seeking an experienced Dozer Operator – SUB to support our underground utility and construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience operating dozers safely and efficiently in active construction environments and understands grading, excavation, and utility site operations.
Responsibilities- Safely operate a dozer on underground utility and construction projects.
- Perform rough and finish grading according to project requirements.
- Grade building pads, roads, access areas, slopes, and utility work areas.
- Cut, spread, push, and level dirt and other materials.
- Maintain proper grade and elevation while working around trenches and underground utilities.
- Assist with excavation, back filling, site preparation, and restoration activities.
- Work safely around excavators, loaders, haul trucks, trench crews, and other heavy equipment.
- Follow direction from Foremen, Superintendents, and Project Management.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all RPM Utilities and project-specific safety requirements.
- Perform additional construction-related duties as needed.
- Previous experience operating a dozer in construction or underground utility work required .
- Experience with rough and finish grading preferred.
- Ability to read grade stakes and understand elevations and site grading requirements.
- Experience working around underground utilities, trenches, and excavation operations preferred.
- GPS/machine-control experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate equipment in congested construction environments.
- Knowledge of equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when required by project schedules.
- Dependable transportation to assigned project locations.
- Must follow all company and OSHA safety requirements.
Experience working on projects involving:
- Underground dry utilities
- Electrical conduit
- Telecommunications/fiber conduit
- Excavation and trenching
- Roadway and right-of-way construction
- Commercial or industrial construction
