Job Summary:
The campus provost serves as the chief administrative officer of the campus(es) and centers assigned. Collin College operates as a single college with multiple campuses and centers that comprise the entire institution. Provosts report to the senior vice president of campus operations and are members of the President's Executive Leadership Team. The campus provost is a results-oriented, collaborative leader responsible for all aspects of campus operations, including student access, student success, campus culture, academic programming, advancement, and community engagement.
Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Serve as a member of the college's Executive Leadership Team responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the college's strategic and master plans to accomplish the college's mission.
* Vigorously support a cohesive campus culture that reflects a passion for the district's core values, adheres to the mission to provide a welcoming environment and opportunities for all stakeholders to include students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Actively promote academic excellence, creativity, leadership, cooperation, teamwork, and accountability throughout the assigned campus.
* Facilitate operational consistency to meet district wide standards while maintaining the unique campus culture. Communicate and collaborate with other campus provosts and college deans to ensure consistent practices across the district.
* Provide engaged leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating face-to-face, evening, weekend, and online programs and services of the assigned campus. Recommend the development and implementation of new programs and services that support the college's strategic plan and improvement of student learning outcomes utilizing data-informed decisions.
* Provide leadership for the deans, associate deans, directors, and faculty in the assigned divisions, including oversight of student learning outcomes and student success, campus and district initiatives, and committees and events, as applicable. Supervise the deans, executive directors of the Library, Information Center, and other assigned facilities/personnel for the respective campus. Provide training, mentoring, and monitor progress in the development of knowledge and skills related to the job of deans and directors.
* Provide performance feedback during the annual review process for the dean of student and enrollment services, campus technology manager, campus facilities, and campus police leadership on campus.
* Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate academic, workforce, and continuing education strategies that are consistent with the college's strategic goals, the needs of the service area, and the campus.
* Collaborate with the senior vice president of student and community engagement to provide leadership for student and enrollment services, residential life (housing), and activities on the assigned campus. Provide leadership, direction, and guidance for the dean of student and enrollment services of the assigned campus in support of integrated pathways and completion of individual educational goals.
* Work collaboratively with the vice president of academic operations to provide leadership to the P-12 (Dual Credit) operations under the campus's purview, district wide scheduling to enhance student completions through strategic course scheduling and enhance district wide operations of continuing education with a campus emphasis.
* Work collaboratively with the Human Resources Office to ensure that staffing, compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations needs are met for campus faculty and staff.
* Develop, recommend, and manage the assigned budgets to ensure available dollars are effectively utilized to deliver prioritized services for the respective campus. Prepare the annual budget for the assigned campus, providing leadership in the development of yearly budgets for the campus Student and Enrollment Services, as well as the Facilities Department, to align with the campus' needs. Work collaboratively with the campus technology manager to develop campus technology needs, priorities, and planning to ensure campus IT needs are being met.
* Work closely with college departments, campus police, and emergency management personnel for the respective campus to ensure a safe and positive learning environment. Serve as the primary campus contact responsible for coordinating with emergency response teams and security personnel to address emergency situations that may occur on campus, including weather emergencies, campus disturbances, environmental hazards, medical emergencies, natural disasters, biological disasters, man-made disasters, etc.
