Position: Full-Time Teacher

Position Summary

Pointe Academy is seeking a passionate, dependable, and experienced full-time Early Childhood Teacher to lead a classroom and support the growth and development of young learners. This role includes planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, maintaining licensing compliance, and fostering a positive, structured environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
  • Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and compliance with Texas childcare licensing regulations
  • Establish and maintain daily routines (learning, play, meals, rest time)
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians
  • Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with staff and administration
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting (minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool setting preferred)
  • Strong classroom management, communication skills, and understanding of child development
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly
  • Positive attitude and a passion for working with students
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Must meet Texas Health and Human Services Child Care Licensing minimum standards for lead teachers
  • Completion of required pre-service and ongoing annual training hours
  • Background check and fingerprinting clearance required
  • Ability to meet child-to-teacher ratios and supervision requirements at all times
  • Adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
