Position overviewRole works directly with site Operations leaders to drive EHS ownership and accountability. Role reports directly to the Safety Manager with frequent interaction and direction from the Safety Director. This position is a critical partnership between the Operations team and the EHS team to cultivate a behavior-based safety culture.
Qualifications- Provides technical safety and health support and information to the site Operations team.
- Coordinates and delivers EHS training to employees.
- Responsible for execution of the site safety improvement plan.
- Performs risk assessments of site operations to determine risk and implement defenses to protect employees from uncontrolled risk.
- Manages all aspects of work place injuries and near misses. Including documenting incidents, leading incident investigation teams, determining root cause(s) and implementing corrective action(s).
- Participates in new product/process reviews including process hazard analyses, operator training, Job Safety Analysis, etc.
- Experience in ergonomics and completing functional ergo assessments.
- Understands Federal and State occupational safety and health regulations and monitor regulatory changes as they occur.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results driven, team oriented environment.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Make independent decisions.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
- Use PC and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Gensuite).
- Handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
- Deliver executive presentations to site leadership team.
