EHS Specialist

The EHS Specialist plays a critical role in supporting a fast-paced manufacturing operation by driving safety compliance, delivering training, and partnering closely with production teams to maintain a safe and efficient workplace. This position requires a hands-on approach with regular presence on the manufacturing floor, proactive hazard identification, and strong communication with employees at all levels.

• Deliver OSHA and safety training for new hires and staff.
• Conduct annual safety training programs.
• Perform incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Conduct equipment inspections and audits.
• Perform OSHA compliance assessments.
• Assist with developing and updating EHS policies, procedures, and training content.
• Maintain a visible presence on the production floor, coaching employees and reinforcing safe behaviors.
• Support compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company standards through assessments, documentation, and follow-up actions.

• Understanding of OSHA General Industry standards (29 CFR 1910) and their application in manufacturing.
• Awareness of NFPA fire protection and electrical safety requirements relevant to industrial environments.
• Ability to train, coach, and influence employees in a production setting.
• Self-driven, organized, and comfortable making decisions during independent weekend shifts.

• Degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Smartsheet and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong planning, coordination, and risk assessment skills.
• Experience with hazardous waste management and environmental health.

Work in a manufacturing environment with a schedule that begins with Monday-Friday training and transitions to a weekend schedule (Friday-Sunday or Thursday-Sunday). Weekend shifts are independent operations with remote leadership support. The role includes safety oversight during active production and requires travel to other sites across the country twice a quarter, working Monday-Friday during those times.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mckinney, TX.

The pay range for this position is $66600.00 - $86600.00/yr.
