With our own R&D team and automatic production factory, we are dedicated to delivering innovative, reliable, and affordable energy storage solutions to customers all over the world. We’re looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) with hands‑on experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role sits at the intersection of engineering, field execution, and customer success.
You’ll support customers before the sale, during commissioning, and long after the system is energized and inspected. If you’ve worked as an FAE, commissioning engineer, or senior installer—and you know your way around inverters, batteries, and site realities—this role will feel familiar in the best way.
Job Responsibilities1. Provide pre‑sales technical support
- Support Sales teams with technical reviews, proposals, and customer calls.
- Provide system architecture guidance (battery + inverter pairing, sizing, topology).
- Review site requirements and support design recommendations.
2. Lead and support on‑site commissioning
- Travel to customer sites for startup, configuration, and validation.
- Work directly with installers, electricians, and EPCs.
- Verify wiring, grounding, communications, and firmware settings.
- Support commissioning documentation and closeout.
3. Deliver post‑sales technical support
- Troubleshoot system issues (hardware, firmware, communications).
- Support warranty cases, RMAs, and root‑cause analysis.
- Serve as the technical bridge between customers and engineering teams.
4. Collaborate cross‑functionally
- Work with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing teams.
- Provide real‑world feedback from the field to improve products, firmware, and documentation.
- Support training for installers and internal teams.
- Hands‑on experience with BESS energy storage systems.
- Prior experience as an FAE, commissioning engineer, installer, or field engineer strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of:
- Lithium‑based battery systems (LFP preferred)
- Hybrid and AC‑coupled inverter systems
- CAN / RS485 / Ethernet communications
- Commissioning workflows and field troubleshooting
- Comfortable traveling to job sites and working directly with customers.
- Able to explain complex systems clearly—to engineers, installers, and non‑engineers.
- Self‑directed, organized, and calm under pressure (especially on commissioning day).
- Experience with residential, C&I, or microgrid systems.
- Familiarity with UL 9540 / UL 9540A, NEC requirements (Article 706, 480), and local AHJ expectations.
- Experience supporting products manufactured overseas.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Mandarin is a plus).
