Manufacturing Engineer
The Material Processing Manufacturing Engineering Department centers on development and production support for assembly methods, materials, and processes for current and next‑generation microwave and mmWave products, with a heavy emphasis on cutting‑edge automation and materials. The role involves close collaboration with product, quality, reliability, tooling, industrial engineers and operations leaders to support product manufacturing.
What You Will Do- Support low‑volume, high‑mix production with on‑site responsiveness to factory equipment, processes, materials, and product problems.
- Develop and execute new product builds, typically with automated equipment, providing creative solutions for next‑generation designs.
- Ensure processes meet product quality requirements, such as J‑STD‑001, MIL‑STD‑883, MIL‑PRF‑38534, and IPC.
- Lead process improvement projects to enhance factory productivity through new technologies, material qualification, and more.
- Participate in capital equipment down‑selection and integration for current and future business needs.
- Communicate technical information effectively across cross‑functional teams.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with plasma etch processes and equipment.
- Manufacturing experience with surface mount technology (SMT), microelectronics and automated assembly equipment.
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC), statistical data analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques.
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
- Familiarity with J‑STD‑001, MIL‑STD‑883, MIL‑PRF‑38534, and IPC standards.
- Technical writing experience for operator instructions, process/material qualification reports, and vendor statements of work.
- Experience resolving technical issues within a multi‑disciplined engineering team.
- Experience with material properties or automated equipment.
- Proficiency with Office 365 programs.
$68,900 – $131,100 USD
