Position:
Power & Analog Design Engineer II
Location:
McKinney, TX, United States. Address: 2501 W University Dr. Wing D Bldg.
Employment Type:
Onsite. U.S. citizen required. Security clearance:
DoD Secret required at day 1.
- Assist with architecture development at the circuit card level.
- Design, analyze, test, and document analog and power conversion circuitry.
- Partner with senior engineers and ECAD drafters on stack‑up definition, layout, and routing activities.
- Support integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.
- Provide product test and troubleshooting support.
- Understand and report execution status to the planned budget and schedule.
- Engage in professional growth and development.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with non‑isolated converter topologies including buck, boost, or buck‑boost.
- Experience designing analog electronics (FETs/BJTs, op‑amps, filters, clock/data termination, comparator circuits).
- Proficiency with simulation tools (MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar).
- U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field (counts as 2 years experience).
- Design experience with voltages >400V and/or power >10kW.
- Experience with three‑phase power systems, power factor control, and inverter/rectifier development.
- Familiarity with military specifications.
- Experience with circuit simulators (SIMPLIS, SABER) and ECAD tools (Siemens Xpedition: xDX Designer, xPCB Layout, Hyperlynx).
- Guided ECAD personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation.
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with lab equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).
- Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts or small teams.
