Position: Senior Systems Engineer (Onsite)

Position Overview

Advanced Airborne RF Sensors Department – Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center ite role in McKinney, TX. U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. Salary range is $86,800 – $165,200 USD.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to develop test procedures and troubleshoot system-level issues for RF and EW systems.
  • Perform calibration and operation of phased array antennas in a laboratory test‑range environment.
  • Support testing, validation, and integration activities for phased array antenna systems, RF sensor, and EW systems.
  • Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis to evaluate ES/EA system performance and inform design decisions.
  • Create and execute test plans and procedures, evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements before final system sell‑off.
  • Support production, system deployment, and post‑deployment activities, ensuring product performance and reliability.
  • Engage in Digital Transformation (DTx) efforts, leveraging Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development practices.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, and digital voltmeters; collaborate across disciplines to resolve complex challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of EW/Radar systems design and requirements engineering experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues.
  • Modeling and simulation for EW or radar systems.
  • Experience calibrating, operating, and supporting phased-array or RF sensor systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD clearance investigation within five years.
  • Advanced STEM degree.
  • Proficiency in MBSE (Cameo Enterprise Architecture, SysML), digital thread, Dev Sec Ops .
  • Antenna design and calibration experience.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, DOORS, DNG, Cameo, Jira, Confluence.
