Job Overview
Digital Hardware Design Engineer II in the Multi-Product Power & Digital (MPD) department. In this role you will create advanced solutions for sensor and effector products, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to define requirements, develop architectures, execute detailed design and simulations, and perform integration and verification tasks. You will document designs within the appropriate configuration management tools and provide comprehensive engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
This is an onsite position located in McKinney, TX.
Assist with architecture development at the circuit card level.
- Design, analyze, test, and document digital electronics circuit card assemblies including embedded processors, FPGAs, memories, and industry standard interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Partner with senior engineers and ECAD drafters through stack‑up definition, pre/post‑route simulation (SI/PI), layout, and routing activities.
- Support integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.
- Provide product test and troubleshooting support.
- Understand and report execution status to the planned budget and schedule.
- Function as an individual contributor and clearly present your work product to leadership.
- Engage in professional growth and development.
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with digital electronic circuit designs including processors, FPGAs, high‑speed transceivers, DDR, and flash memories.
• Experience with a schematic capture/circuit board layout CAD package.
• Experience working with standard lab equipment for integration and verification testing of hardware designs.
• One or more advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM major is valued.
• Knowledge of a formal design process for circuit card assemblies and experience guiding ECAD personnel through PCB layout and technical drawing creation.
• Experience with printed circuit board (PCB) stack‑up definition and communication of technical topics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and/or small teams.
What We OfferSalary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
Relocation based on candidate eligibility.
