Job Summary
Raytheon McKinney, Texas is seeking an onsite Systems Engineer II to join our Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) directorate. The role focuses on designing, developing, integrating, and validating automation software for multiple production programs.
Location & SecurityOnsite – McKinney, Texas (US‑TX‑MCKINNEY). U.S. citizenship required. Active DoD Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain) is mandatory prior to start date.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with hardware, software, and program engineers to design and develop robotic software automation solutions that place multiple program products on test fixtures for production testing.
- Implement system software engineering best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budget.
- Effectively communicate technical information in formal design review settings.
- Provide hands‑on support to product testing within an engineering and production test environment.
- Report program status weekly.
- Support the Section Manager and Team Lead in executing the Multi‑Functional RF Test Solutions department goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a relevant field.
- Experience with PC‑based controls using C# for GUI and control logic.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Experience with robot programming (e.g., UR, Omron, Yaskawa, Adept, Fanuc).
- Experience in hardware product selection to meet machine design requirements.
- Experience with machine vision (e.g., OpenCV, Matrox).
- Experience with configuration management tools.
- Experience with motion control programming (e.g., Parker, Moog, SMAC).
- Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
- Experience interfacing with multiple disciplines and job functions, including computer engineers, electrical engineers, program managers, technicians, and information security team members.
- Experience with C, C++ or Microsoft Visual Studio programming.
- Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 (USD).
