Senior Mechanical Engineer Verification Design

WZS ~ 2501 W University Dr ~ WZS BLDG. Onsite position, U.S. Citizen required. Security clearance:
DoD Secret clearance required immediately after day 1.

• Design mechanical components from concept to model/drawing completion for moderate to high complexity.
• Work on and support projects with minimal supervision.
• Manage projects: select components, obtain quotes, make vs buy decisions, fabricate & assemble, track schedule, maintain budget, and present status at meetings.
• Deploy, troubleshoot, maintain and repair automation solutions.
• Specify robotics PLCs, sensors, thermal management design, and temperature monitoring.
• Run software and teach robotics positions and vision routines.

• University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, OR advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience.
• 3–5 years experience with design process as outlined above.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and machined parts design.
• Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) practices.
• Proficiency with 3D modelling using Creo (or equivalent) and ACAD.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including basic GD&T.
• Ability to obtain secret clearance.
• Ability to manage schedule and budget of large capital projects.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight.
• Strong teamwork, timely problem resolution, proactive attitude, and customer focus.
• Experience with automation, motion control, robotics, and sensor specification.

86,800 USD – 165,200 USD (estimate based on experience).
