- Develop, analyze, and complete material proposals and create the Material Cost Summary (MCS)
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and programs
- Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
- Lead the development of Material Basis of Estimates, tracking progress, validating supplier quotes, reviewing purchase order history, ensuring consistency across the program, and confirming a sound estimating approach
- Ensure proposals comply with all FAR and internal requirements as often the sole material point of contact
- Develop and implement solutions that result in a thorough material package
- Perform detailed and complex analysis of inputs to ensure soundness of material estimates
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, macros, look‑ups, pivot tables, filtering/sorting)
- U.S. citizenship required
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers and management
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a schedule‑driven environment
- Knowledge and experience with proposal development, price buildup, and estimating and pricing processes
- Knowledge of federal proposal regulations (FAR, DFAR, TINA)
Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD
