We are seeking a Material Engineer II to join our Material and Process (M&P) team supporting various product lines in McKinney, Texas.
The engineer will be responsible for material tests and analyses, material shelf life and in‑process verification, production hardware empirical testing, and proprietary chemical mixing. The role involves working with a cross‑functional team of manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, supply chains, operations value stream, and program authority to resolve pressing producibility issues.
Responsibilities- Test a wide array of materials for compliance with drawings, specifications, and program applications.
- Work in a wet lab, observing all safety procedures and common lab protocols.
- Write scientific reports using generated data to support technical dispositions.
- Participate in a rapid response team that addresses factory manufacturing process interruptions.
- Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in assembly or manufacturing.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and/or technical datasheets.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Advanced degree in STEM.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Experience with Design of Experiment (DOE) and troubleshooting.
- Experience with mechanical test methods (tensile, compression, lap shear, hardness, viscosity) and/or chemical analysis methods (FT‑IR spectrometer, cure rate of adhesives, DSC, TMA, SEM, etc.).
- Demonstrated multi‑discipline collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with data‑driven approaches.
- Demonstrated multi‑tasking capabilities.
- Familiar with laboratory equipment.

Salary Range$68,900 – $131,100 per year.
