Job Summary
Senior Principal Systems Engineer – Onsite – McKinney, TX. Responsible for developing modeling and analysis solutions across programs, leading mission and campaign analysis, and fostering technical team growth.
Responsibilities- Develop modeling and analysis solutions across programs, capturing and IRADs.
- Support Operations Research functions, including mission and campaign analysis.
- Develop team expertise in analysis methods, software development, and tools.
- Coordinate with Principal Investigators, IPTs, Program Chief Engineers, and Program Management as needed.
- Develop capability delivery plans and lead team execution in an agile framework.
- Provide guidance, direction, mentoring, and influencing skills, fostering teamwork, interdependent execution, and growth for early‑career engineers.
- Travel may be required – anticipated 10% domestic.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Experience using standard government‑developed tools, including Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration Modeling (AFSIM), Suppressor, Brawler, and similar.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Understanding of military tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Domain knowledge in Sensors (RADAR, EOIR, etc.), Network Communications, Weapons/Effects (Missiles, Projectiles), Command & Control, and Resource Management.
- Proficiency with scientific computing environments, models, and simulations such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
- Experience with Military Operations Analysis.
- Ability to understand tactics as described by military experts and represent them verbally, graphically, and in simulations.
- Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Experience in numerical optimization techniques, analysis of alternatives, or design of experiments.
- Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD.
