Seeking a Structural Designer EIT for a firm that works with clients across the United States to combat the affordable housing crisis by reimagining construction with world‑class innovation. This position is based in the office at our McKinney, TX location to foster collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth. Open to a hybrid opportunity.

• Drafting and BIM Modeling:
  Develop and update structural drawings and BIM models in Revit, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to company standards.
• Assist in Detailed Building Design:
  Support the design and analysis of foundations, framing systems, shear walls, and connections for concrete, steel, and wood structures.
• Support Quality Assurance:
  Ensure designs meet company standards and comply with industry codes and local requirements.
• Participate in Learning & Development:
  Engage in continuous learning and contribute to improving our internal standards and documentation.
• Grow with the Team:
  Work alongside senior engineers and mentors to gain the knowledge and experience needed to advance into higher levels of responsibility.

• Engineering Designer (0–4 years):
  Support design and documentation under supervision; develop proficiency in Revit, coordination, and structural calculations.
• Project Engineer (4–10 years):
  Lead project execution, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff. Professional licensure is typically achieved before or early in this stage.
• Engineer of Record (10+ years):
  Take ownership of design quality, compliance, and technical leadership for assigned projects. Advancement to this level is based on demonstrated capability, judgment, and readiness to assume greater responsibility.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET‑accredited university.
• Experience:
  
  0 to 2 years of building design experience.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, and structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, ETABS, or similar).
• Code Knowledge:
  Basic understanding of structural design codes and standards, including the International Building Code (IBC), ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and NDS.

• Building Design:
  Experience with or interest in building design.
• Certification:
  Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Structural Design, or the ability and interest to pursue future certification.
• Applied Engineering:
  Experience with or exposure to translating design concepts into practical, buildable solutions.

• Team Player:
  Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Communication:
  Strong verbal and written communication skills, emphasizing clarity and directness.
• Adaptability:
  Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
