We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Airborne & Ground Optics Department in McKinney, Texas. The responsibilities will include all aspects of the mechanical design process from concept to model/drawing completion for mechanical components required to support product builds, working under the general supervision of a team lead. You will work closely with Chief Engineers, Lead Engineers and product engineers.

- Utilization of RTX tools including CREO modeling software and Product Data Management (PDM).
- Design and documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS office suite.
- Execution of engineering change and drawing release process.
- Some assembly of your designs may be required.
- Analytical and technical engineering work within a program environment with possible presentations on designs as needed.
- Training in Raytheon processes and procedures.
- Work may include participation in building hardware in a lab environment.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (CREO, Solid Works, or equivalent).
- Mechanisms or opto‑mechanical design experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including basic knowledge, and understanding of tolerancing.
- Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written).
- Able to work and interface with a cross‑discipline team.
