Raytheon, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks an experienced Material Program Manager (MPM) to support Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) programs with content built in the Advanced Products and Solutions (APS) factory. This role requires advanced knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process and project management. The MPM provides broad knowledge of financial, project, and material management and collaborates with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations to align schedules with MRP.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas and with external parties. The MPM supports all programs’ supply chain activities and serves as the liaison between Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Teams (IPT), other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. The MPM participates in the development, coordination, and execution of program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives.
You will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedules based on MRP. Responsibilities span from front-end supply chain activities through contract closure. The individual will influence and contribute to the long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team.
What You Will Do- Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies and plans.
- Interface with external customers and all levels of internal organization.
- Create, manage, and execute material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP).
- Provide comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensure compliance for the programs and tailor when applicable.
- Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
- Develop and lead supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and bases of estimates.
- Monitor and proactively address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
- Develop and track budgets, targets, working capital, initiate and maintain accurate sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Experience with supply chain and related systems, procurement, production control/material planning, receiving, cost estimating, logistics, and/or finance.
- Experience with Supplier management and/or Subcontract management.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Work experience in Supply Chain within the Aerospace Defense industry.
- Experience with MRP Systems and/or tools such as SAP, PRISM and KINAXIS.
- High degree of financial acumen.
- Knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations.
- Experience translating customer terms and conditions into supplier requirements and reviewing statements of work for completeness and conformance to program requirements.
