Engineering Leader – Multi‑Spectral Target Systems (MTS)
Raytheon EO/IR Solutions is seeking a seasoned engineering leader with deep experience in production and sustainment programs for Multi‑Spectral Target Systems (MTS). The role is on‑site in McKinney, TX, and requires U.S. citizenship and a valid Secret clearance.
Responsibilities- Provide technical oversight and leadership for the assembly and testing of Raytheon‑built hardware across multiple programs.
- Prioritize and coordinate sustaining engineering functions (Electrical, Mechanical, Reliability) to meet daily operational and programmatic needs.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to identify and implement improvements in cycle time, cost reduction, and product reliability.
- Manage training and onboarding programs for new engineers, fostering skill development and team integration.
- Drive technical decision‑making processes, resolving conflicts within teams or escalating to appropriate authority when necessary.
- Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for deliverable hardware issues, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions.
- Support proposal efforts through Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation and provide accurate, timely estimates at completion.
- Maintain cost and schedule objectives, fostering cross‑functional collaboration to meet program and factory goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with MTS EO/IR systems in development, production, and/or sustainment environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑discipline teams and manage competing priorities across multiple programs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to interface with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, planning, and team‑building skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (pre‑start).
- Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) and in creating Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposals.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and tools to optimize production and sustainment operations.
- Experience mentoring and developing technical talent within engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and adapt to evolving program and factory priorities.
- Competitive salary range: 107,500 – 204,500 USD, depending on experience and level.
