Senior Principal Antenna Design Engineer

Position Overview

Electrical Engineer – Airborne Antenna Design at Raytheon, McKinney, Texas. Onsite role requiring U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance
.

• Design, develop, and deploy RF passive circuits (radiators, RF manifolds, transitions, etc.) and perform electromagnetic modeling.
• Advance radiator and EM design through continual innovation and state‑of‑the‑art techniques.
• Apply best‑practice standards for planning, coordination, and execution of RF passive circuit design and EM modeling.
• Collaborate on full‑scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for antenna products and associated system verification.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and minimum 10 years of relevant experience in RF passive circuit design and EM modeling.
• Knowledge of antenna engineering principles, including phased array theory.
• Experience with structured design processes, root‑cause problem solving, and on‑time task execution.
• Familiarity with test equipment: antenna ranges, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, and related tools.

• Master of Science or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong experience presenting technical data to stakeholders and customers.
• Proficiency with AnsysHFSS, KeysightADS, MATLAB, and CAD tools.

The position requires an active Secret clearance; an existing clearance is required after day
1.
