• U.S. citizen or U.S. person required for security clearance. This position is onsite in McKinney, Texas with the Raytheon RTX Airborne & Ground Optics Department. A U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret) is required; active clearance status is required after day 1. • Mechanical design process from concept to model/drawing completion for mechanical components to support product builds, under the supervision of a team lead.
• Some assembly of designs may be required.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineers, Lead Engineers, and product engineers.
• Utilize RTX tools including CREO modeling software and Product Data Management (PDM).
• Design and documentation support using engineering tools, Adobe, and MS Office.
• Execute engineering change and drawing release process.
• Perform analytical and technical engineering work within a program environment; present designs as needed.
• Receive training on Raytheon processes and procedures.
• Work may include building hardware in a lab environment.

• You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with 3D modeling software (CREO, Solid Works, or equivalent).

• Electromechanical design experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including basic knowledge and understanding of tolerancing.
• Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
