An excellent opportunity exists within the Advanced (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Spectrum Dominance (ASD) Proposal team as a Principal Material Estimator. The Operations Supply Chain (OSC) ASD estimating organization is responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the Material Estimating Organization supports gate reviews, government audits, and negotiations with the customer.

, requiring you to work onsite at our McKinney, TX office at least 1 day per week
.
- Be responsible for the development, analysis, and completion of material proposals, creation of the Material Cost Summary (MCS).
- Work with other functions from across the company to understand and evaluate the material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts and the associated program
- Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
- Lead the development of Material Basis of Estimates to include tracking progress, requesting, validating, and analyzing supplier quotes, and Purchase Order History, ensuring consistency across the program, and confirming the estimating approach is sound
- Ensure proposals comply with all FAR and internal requirements often as the only material point of contact
- Assess, develop and implement solutions leading to a thorough material package
- Perform detailed and complex analysis of inputs to ensure soundness in our material estimates
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
- Knowledge and experience with proposal development, price buildup, and estimating and pricing processes
- Experience with MS Office, ex. Excel (i.e. formulas, macros, look-up, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Experience with federal proposal regulations including but not limited to: FAR, DFAR, TINA
- Strong organization, analytical and communication skills
- Experience consistently meeting deadlines in a schedule-driven environment
- Existing Secret U.S. government issued security clearance
