Requisition Summary
Dynacraft is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to help support our McKinney, TX facility. The Supplier Quality Engineer reports to the Assistant Division Quality Manager and will function as the primary plant resource to ensure that APQP is followed for product launches and all Dynacraft and PACCAR standards are maintained. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is proactive, and has experience working in a manufacturing environment.
JobFunctions / Responsibilities
- Manage assigned suppliers to ensure compliance with PACCAR Supplier Quality requirements, including driving timely supplier corrective actions and managing PPAP submissions and approvals.
- Work hand in hand with Corporate Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Materials, Plant Operations, and Suppliers on supplier quality issues.
- Work with PACCAR Purchasing to identify, assess, and develop new PACCAR suppliers.
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product launches.
- Collaborate with PACCAR Purchasing to identify, assess, and develop new PACCAR suppliers.
- Approximately 30% travel.
- 3–5 years of progressively complex experience solving quality-related problems
- Proficient in core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, process capability, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, 8D)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with PC applications, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Project management experience with a strong focus on meeting schedules and milestones
- Ability to manage conflict and collaborate effectively across functional and organizational boundaries
- Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Business or Engineering required.
- Six Sigma / Lean Training ( or willingness to complete training)
- AIAG CQE or CSQP Certification preferred
- Working knowledge of Engineering Drawings and GD&T, including inspection methods and equipment.
- Automotive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) expertise.
