Role Overview
Parts Manager (Program Obsolescence Associate) at Raytheon (RTX) in McKinney, TX. Hybrid role requiring U.S. citizenship and existing DoD Secret Security Clearance. The position focuses on managing parts, material, and process management plans to address obsolescence and DMSMS issues across programs.
Key Responsibilities- Execute strategic program parts, materials & process management plans (PMPMP).
- Interpret and execute obsolescence tracking matrices; report status.
- Interface with Designers, Supply Chain, Program Management, and other IPT disciplines to resolve component obsolescence and shortage issues.
- Collect, compile, distribute and interpret Program BOMs to assess lifecycle maturity and accuracy.
- Create periodic reports, summaries, and presentations for leadership and customers.
- Data mine, filter, sort, and pivot Excel spreadsheets to isolate component lifecycle data.
- Provide technical support for procurement and engineering on alternative part selections or redesign.
- Track and report status of technical issues related to drawing/spec changes and assess business impact of substitutions.
- Occasional travel to supplier or customer sites as required.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in product development life cycles for electronics manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret technical data packages, assess technical and schedule risks, generate professional data reports, and understand cost reduction concepts.
- Eligibility to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance within 1 year; existing clearance acceptable.
- Familiarity with parts management, suppliers, and obsolescence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in IPT environment and coordinating concurrent projects.
- Experience in counterfeit part mitigation with non-franchise distributors (preferred).
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Engineering, production support, or related product development in defense or aerospace.
- Experience in integrated product team environment.
Salary: $68,900 – $131,100 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending and work-schedule accounts, employee assistance, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and other typical benefits. Eligibility for annual incentive programs per business unit and level.
