Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer
Raytheon's Airborne Sensor RF Design Department is seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to work onsite at the McKinney, Texas location. The candidate will perform mechanical design, test, integration and documentation tasks for RF systems and sub-systems. The qualified candidate will have extensive engineering experience related to development, procurement and manufacture of critical assemblies, subassemblies and parts. The role requires a high level of execution expertise across multiple functions including engineering, operations, and supply chain coupled with the ability to lead a team of engineers who engage with the supply base.
This role leads a team of engineers across multiple disciplines who work to ensure that our factories receive compliant material on schedule.
What You Will Do *
Qualifications You Must Have *
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience.
- Experience with mechanical design and integration of RF systems or subsystems.
- Experience with bid solicitation and contract negotiations
- Experience leading or managing a team
- Experience managing Suppliers

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
