Raytheon is seeking an experienced Program Management, Planning & Scheduling professional to join the Program Design & Planning organization. This position will be responsible for the development, maintenance and analysis of the Program Master Phasing Schedule and Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule – developing the network and integrated workflow of schedule activities to ensure accurate, appropriate, and effective plan is established for the scope of work.

Perform analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of critical path, risk integration, IMS structure, and evaluate trends and schedule related metrics. Reviews and implements IMS coding, outlining structures and adherence to directives and department scheduling best practices. Depending upon the size and complexity of the effort, this role will be the lead scheduler/planner on a larger/more complex effort or responsible for multiple smaller efforts.

What

You Will Do
  • Ability to understand the program technical and programmatic solution, and partnering with the program team, lead integration of that solution into the IMS baseline plan ensuring the cost, schedule and technical requirements are fully integrated into the execution plan.
  • Lead creation and maintenance of compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) on requirements provided by the customer that achieve necessary cost and schedule integration.
  • Lead and support the team to ensure program plan and IMS is developed consistent with IPDS and program life cycle. Must be able to review the IMS planned work for accuracy, identifying missing work or work that is planned improperly.
  • Understands, can create, use and recommend appropriate alternative/supplemental program mgmt. plans/artifacts (HUM, MPS, First Unit Flow), to help the program team understand and manage to the plan.
  • Conduct and explain Schedule Risk Analysis results to program teams, understands SRA concepts and theory, with ability to interpret results to the program team and integrate mitigation plans into the IMS and schedule risks into the Risk Management process with the assistance of a Scheduled Risk Analysis SME.
  • Provides weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, and schedule variance analysis and network logic validation, employing appropriate Earned Value Management System processes.
  • Mentor and train junior planners
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 8 years of Program Planning or Scheduling or Project Management experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Prior work experience using software designed for creating and maintaining industry related schedules. (MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, or similar scheduling software)
