Raytheon Electro-Optical and Infrared Solutions (EOIRS) is seeking a Program Chief Engineer providing strategic and tactical execution on a portfolio of contracts for the Crane and USMC programs in phases of production and sustainment. This position will be responsible for the engineering cost, schedule, and technical execution of the Program which resides in the Global Navy Program directorate. The Program Chief Engineer will sit on the Crane and USMC program leadership team as part of a larger cross functional team reviewing all Programs, strategies, business related activities in the program.
WhatYou Will Do
- Technical baseline establishment, roadmap development, customer engagement, Product family development, Product line vision, strategy & goals, and proposal development across the Product line.
- Program life cycles including Production and Field Support, Engineering and Manufacturing Development (E&MD), Technology Transition, and internal investment (IR&D, Capital) efforts.
- Primary technical contact for the Customer's Engineering / Technical counterparts providing analysis, responding to technical inquiries in a timely manner, and establishing boundaries while balancing Customer satisfaction levels to mitigate risk of taking on tasking outside of the contractual scope.
- Engage with Global Navy Program Area leadership to provide technical recommendations on future system strategy and sustainment.
- Review and approve cost, schedule, and budget information for Estimate At Completions (EACs) and proposals at the program level.
- Ability to lead across a highly multi-disciplinary role, requiring experience across all design engineering disciplines, technical supplier management, business development, and program leadership.
- Expected to Travel 15% of the time.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Airborne Electro-Optic sensing systems design, integration and test, flight qualification, deployment, and production.
- Experience presenting technical data and solutions to both technical & non-technical audiences, Sr. Level Internal & External stakeholders, and Customers.
- Experience in a Lead Design Engineer, Program Chief Engineer, or Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) role.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance required prior to start date.
