Senior RF Test Systems Engineer
Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior RF Test Systems Engineer located onsite in McKinney, TX supporting Surveillance & Tactical Radar Solutions (STaRS) Test Automation.
The Test Automation Department (TAD) is responsible for the design and development of test equipment, hardware and software for a wide range of products and customers. The STaRS Test Automation section within TAD is a growing and highly motivated team who consistently provides quality on-time on-cost solutions to support external and internal customers seeking innovative and economical solutions for their product lines.
The section also supports change incorporation and obsolescence redesign efforts of various legacy systems in direct support of production capabilities.
This position is 100% ONSITE in McKinney, Texas. What You Will Do
- Troubleshoot test equipment, circuit boards, cables, etc.
- Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work
- Facilitate project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives
- Work well in a team environment as well as work independently and drive toward goals
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with emphasis in Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT) Test Systems Engineering
- Engineering experience for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production/manufacturing/product qualification environments
- Experience working and communicating effectively within cross functional teams (test personnel - electrical, software, mechanical, etc.)
- Experience with RF technology across radar systems
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required after day one. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Agile Methodologies experience
- Test software experience with MATLAB, Test Stand, Test Executive, etc.
- Experience with change incorporation and obsolescence redesign
- Experience with RF technology across communications systems
This position does not involve commercial or carrier-grade RF technologies (such as cellular wireless or 5G networks). Instead, this role focuses on military-grade RF systems, including radar, electronic warfare, and secure communications technologies.
