What You Will Do- Support the Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 clean room environment) in high‑volume, high‑mix production with on‑site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems.
- Support manual and automated assembly processes involving epoxy and solder materials with microelectronic die and surface mount components.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing.
- Support the development and implementation of materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Evaluate materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
- Ability to spend 8+ hours per day in a clean room environment, following clean room and electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.
- Education/Experience with Defense Manufacturing processes and tools
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools

Qualifications We Prefer- Prior RTX internship, co‑op, or work experience
- Experience with Process Engineering within a Defense Manufacturing Environment
- Experience/Education in a clean room environment, following clean room and electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
