One of Vaco's high‑growth, multi‑location healthcare clients is looking to onboard a hands‑on CFO for a post‑merger company expecting 2X growth in the next year. The Chief Financial Officer will have full ownership over budgeting, forecasting and modeling as well as M&A and revenue cycle. This is a "working role" – the CFO will be actively engaged in personally building, validating and executing financial plans in alignment with operational performance while challenging assumptions and solving problems in real time.

Eligible candidates must have some form of experience in a healthcare environment.

Compensation: $250–275K + 30% bonus

• Partner with the CEO and executive team to define and execute the company's growth strategy
• Provide data‑driven insights to support decision‑making, including expansion, acquisitions, and service line optimization
• Serve as a key liaison to the Board, investors, and lenders
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor operational and financial performance
• Analyze census trends, payer mix, reimbursement rates, and margin drivers
• Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, revenue recognition, and month‑end close
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP
• Oversee billing, collections, and revenue cycle management
• Monitor Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial reimbursement processes
• Optimize cash flow and minimize denials and write‑offs
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and reporting requirements
• Partner with compliance and clinical teams on audits and regulatory matters
• Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors
• Manage banking relationships, debt covenants, and liquidity planning
• Lead capital raising efforts as needed (debt/equity)
• Oversee cash management and working capital optimization
• Evaluate acquisition opportunities and lead financial due diligence
• Support integration of acquired businesses into financial and reporting structures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred)
• 10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior CFO or senior finance executive role
• Experience in home healthcare, hospice, or healthcare services required
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and healthcare revenue cycle
