Job Responsibilities
- Participate in month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, the review of general ledger account reconciliations and financial reports, and the analysis of variance accounts
- Perform financial analysis, which includes the monthly sales review, monthly cost of sales analysis, and forecast activities
- Work closely with various departments, such as Materials, Engineering, Operations, and Master Data to ensure standard costs are accurate
- Collaborate with the Logistics department to ensure monthly freight forecast and accruals are accurate
- Drive process and system improvements, including expanded SAP functionality
- Assist in the facilitation of control activities related to inventory accuracy, including statistical inventory audits
- Complete special projects as assigned, including labor studies, BOM audits, and retro price reviews
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis and cost accounting
- Strong leadership and continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with strategic thinking capability
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated with strong time management and deadline focus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, data analysis)
- ERP system proficiency (SAP preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or MBA (preferred)
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (preferred)
- CPA or MBA (preferred)
