Position Overview
The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing applicable duties and overseeing various accounting and finance functions of the organization. This position ensures compliance with all applicable tax and accounting regulations and manages the preparation and filing of all necessary financial statements. The successful candidate has excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of all necessary financial statements and ensure that all financial reporting is accurate and timely
- Monitor the accuracy of financial data and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded
- Analyze financial data for patterns, trends, and anomalies, and recommend corrective action as necessary
- Prepare and review various audit schedules and provide requested information to company’s internal and external auditors
- Research applicable GAAP and tax regulations to develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Provide financial guidance and support to department heads, and ensure that all financial decisions are in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and federal and state tax laws
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholder
