Medical Assistant Pulmonary Care - McKinney is a full-time onsite role at Questcare Medical Clinic, Pulmonary Care in McKinney, TX.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (no nights or weekends).

• Takes patient vital signs, medical histories, prepares patient for tests or examinations, explains procedures to patient, assists physician during exams, and may prepare patient for X-rays; coordinates lab and prescription orders.
• Communicate with physicians, MLPs, and staff to address patient concerns; ensure optimal patient flow.
• Perform basic medical procedures as directed (e.g., wound care, dressing, sutures/staples as applicable).
• Administrative duties: schedule appointments, process forms, update charts, maintain confidentiality, stock exam rooms, order supplies, clean instruments and run autoclave.
• Look for opportunities to streamline processes or improve quality or efficiency.

• Understanding of a medical facility s processes and practices.
• Flexible and able to multitask with sense of urgency; professional communication.
• Flexibility to work in other local clinics to cover shifts as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience or recently obtained Medical Assistant Certification.
• MA Certification/License a plus but not required.
• Working knowledge of EMRs.
