Medical Scribe

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Scribe to join our team. You will accompany the surgeon during patient encounters, procedures, and exam room activities to provide accurate, real-time clinical documentation. By ensuring clinical notes are complete, compliant, and clearly captured in the medical record, this role supports efficient, high-quality care delivery and continuity across the care team.

• Real-Time Clinical Documentation:
  Accompany the surgeon during patient visits, consults, and procedures to accurately document exams, surgical plans, orders, and follow-up instructions in real time.
• EHR Management & Information Accuracy:
  Enter and maintain complete, timely, and compliant documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
• Clinical Information Support & Coordination:
  Retrieve, organize, and prepare relevant clinical information (e.g., labs, imaging, prior records, etc.) and assist with order entry, referrals, and follow-up coordination as directed by the provider.
• Administrative & Compliance Support:
  Support documentation-related administrative tasks and follow-ups while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.

• Prior experience as a medical scribe or in clinical documentation.
• Experience with major EHR systems and proficiency with medical terminology.
• Excellent typing skills with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and familiarity with medical office flow.
