What You Will Do
  • Schedule surgeries and procedures efficiently, coordinating with physicians, patients, and insurance providers.
  • Coordinate necessary surgical devices/implants with vendor representatives
  • Verify patient and procedure details, confirm authorizations, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Communicate pre-op instructions and answer questions to help patients feel prepared and at ease.
  • Complete surgery checklist with appropriate information and knowledge of each physician's schedule and surgery guidelines.
  • Review patient history and medications to insure accuracy in EMR and verify medical and or specialist clearance prior to surgery.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and respond to scheduling changes with professionalism and flexibility.
You'll Know You're a Good Fit for This Position If You Have...
  • Experience in medical scheduling, ideally in a surgical or outpatient setting (minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office required).
  • A love for a fast-paced office setting, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities calmly and efficiently.
  • Clear and compassionate communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (we use eClinicals) as well as standard office software.
  • A willingness to travel between our offices in McKinney, Sherman and Greenville
