Job SummaryThe Classified Infrastructure Services (CIS) department provides expertise to programs in Networking and High‑Performance Computing. We are seeking a Junior Network Administrator located in McKinney, TX. This onsite position requires basic knowledge of Cisco devices and commands to support multiple, air‑gapped Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
What You Will Do- Review Technical Security Controls with senior networking professionals and apply them to network configurations.
- Install network hardware as part of technology refreshes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network‑related issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as network and rack diagrams.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of experience in Network Engineering or an IT discipline.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation such as network and rack diagrams.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
- Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communication.
- Experience with Cisco Networking Products.
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Intermediate for Network Operations Specialist) or ability to acquire within 6 months of start date.
- Associate‑level Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA).
- Ability to collaborate respectfully with cross‑functional teams, including Digital disciplines, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Engineering, and Program Management.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this role is $57,200 USD – $108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function and associated responsibilities, candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
