JOB SUMMARY
The Back Office Applications Administrator III will have three primary responsibilities: (1) apply analytical skills to business requests and issues (which are often high-level or lacking in detail) and deliver these business wants/needs in the form of working software; (2) provide effective and high quality administration and support across all 3rd party software systems ensuring proper maintenance is performed to reduce the risk of customer impacting outages;
and (3) address and own production impacting issues from first report to resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system/database performance issues
- Administer Web Sphere, Kronos, Workfront, Auto Audit applications
- Need to have strong programming and Power Shell scripting skills to understand and make changes in coded modules
- View the entire SDLC as a whole to analyze and make suggestions to improve the end-to-end process using automation and Best Practices
- Administration including Source Control, Continuous Integration, and Change Management
- Perform application upgrades and apply appropriate software updates/patches
- Integration with relevant external tools
- Create workflows for users, based on process flows defined by business unit
- Design, build and support management solution functionality
- Manage user access to platform and management solutions
- Maintain reports and dashboards
- Manage solution change control
- Manage the request for platform enhancement and issues with Vendor Customer Support Portals
- Communicate technical and business problems clearly, quickly and in a concise manner to a variety of audiences
- Administer other 3rd Party Applications as needed
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES- C#, , Power Shell & SQL Server
- Ability to write and analyze SQL queries
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external contacts
- Ability to communicate in both technical and business terms, clearly and concisely
- Excellent time management, multitasking, task planning and prioritization skills
- Ability to communicate and gather requirements from large number of project stakeholders
- Some travel may be required to up to 10%
- Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
- Ability to work full time and/or part time based on the position specifications.
- 5-10 years of experience with .NET, C#, & SQL Server, including system and query optimization
- 3-5 years of business analysis experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- Insurance industry experience a plus
