Principal Systems Administrator

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support the mission to make the world a safer place. This role requires working onsite at the McKinney, TX location and a valid U.S. Secret security clearance.

• Provide system administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment.
• Manage Windows servers including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot classified IT infrastructure.
• Perform storage, file, and data backup operations.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and comply with DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification.
• Assist in disaster recovery, business continuity, and maintenance of backup, restore, and business continuity products.
• Support integration of hardware and operating systems, including RAID and data backup technologies.
• Participate in troubleshooting technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity.

• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with three years of experience.
• Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance required prior to start.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux‑based systems.
• Must obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification within six months of start date.

• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products.
• Proficiency in scripting.
• Experience using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.
• Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.

Compensation ranges from $86,800 to $165,200 annually, depending on experience.
