Paralegal

Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team in McKinney, Texas. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who is skilled in drafting legal documents and managing case files. The role involves supporting a small law office specializing in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters while maintaining a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

- Draft legal documents such as powers of attorney, estate plans, and probate filings with a high degree of accuracy.

- Organize and manage case files to ensure timely and efficient workflows.

- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for civil litigation and trial proceedings.

- Conduct discovery processes and compile relevant documentation.

- Utilize case management software to track case progress and maintain records.

- Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.

- Assist in administering trust accounts and oil and gas partnerships as needed.

- Maintain an attentive and approachable demeanor in a small office setting.

- Ensure compliance with legal standards and office protocols.

- Contribute to the growth and development of the firm's estate planning services. Requirements - Proven experience in drafting legal documents with exceptional attention to detail.

- Familiarity with civil litigation, discovery processes, and trial preparation.

- Proficiency in case management software and other relevant legal tools.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

- Excellent interpersonal skills for client engagement and teamwork.

- Knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, and probate processes preferred.

- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative small office environment.

- Commitment to maintaining a business casual appearance and demonstrating a strong attention to detail.
