Chief Felony Prosecutor - Public Integrity

Job Description

Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Chief Felony Prosecutor. This position prepares cases for trial by interviewing witnesses and relevant parties, conducting investigations, conducting legal research, preparing trial exhibits, composing legal documents, and preparing oral arguments. Other responsibilities include managing daily dockets by maintaining the court calendar, conducting hearings, and filing court motions. This position is responsible for supervising personnel by assisting with case and trial preparation, prioritizing and directing tasks, and overseeing work activities.

The Chief Felony Prosecutor also tries felony criminal cases to verdict and performs all ancillary tasks. Work is performed under the direction of the 1st Assistant District Attorney.

Candidates must possess specialized knowledge in a professional or technical field, normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree. A Doctorate of Jurisprudence and State of Texas law license are required. Must have prior experience as a Felony Prosecutor.

Compensation

Starting Salary: $129,440 per year
