Personal Injury Legal Assistant

Reports To: Vice-President of Legal Operations

Payroll Status: Full-Time

Location: McKinney, TX

Software: Email, Share Point, Filevine, EFC Filing, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Google Earth, Kofax

Allowances: Cell phone, continuing education, professional development

Works in a high-level and rapidly growing plaintiffs' personal injury firm with a heavy emphasis on strategizing with attorneys, coordinating with treating physicians, clients and insurance adjusters, paying attention to details and treating each case uniquely to develop necessary evidence to maximum claim value for the client.

Essential Qualities,

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support paralegals in all aspects of case management, from sign-up through trial (if necessary).
• Performs administrative duties, client interaction, medical record and bill retrieval.
• Assists with demand preparation, open records requests, and preparation and drafting of other documents as requested by supervising paralegals.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior Personal Injury pre-suit experience is preferred.
• Must be a motivated, self-starter.
• Works well in team environment.
• Organized, detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Proactive, can‑do, team‑oriented attitude who insists on winning for our clients.
• Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with ability to think on your feet.
• Able to handle sensitive, confidential matters, resolve conflicts & empathize with clients.
• Must be able to understand medical terminology.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred.
