Lead and scale the Maintenance Division of Bedrock Landscaping by driving operational excellence, safety, client satisfaction, profitability, and team development. This position will be accountable for strategic planning, execution of maintenance programs, resource allocation, fleet and equipment management, quality assurance, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure consistent, high‑quality landscape maintenance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the division’s operational strategy aligned with company goals and growth targets.
- Overseeing the maintenance and enhancements personnel
- Full time staff of ten (10) + five (5) crews (40+ total people)
- Establish KPIs, metrics, and reporting routines to monitor performance, profitability, and customer retention.
- Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations across multiple routes/sites, ensuring schedules, staffing, and resources meet service standards.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance tasks, quality inspections, and seasonal programs.
- Manage route planning, crew deployment, and workload balancing to optimize productivity and minimize overtime.

- Collaborate with Sales and Estimating to transition new contracts to operations
- Maximize industry contacts to help increase contractual revenue with new deals.
- Approve capital expenditures for equipment and monitor ROI.
- Work hand with CFO and accounting Team
- Oversee maintenance, lifecycle replacement, and compliance of fleet and equipment.
- Manage parts, materials, and chemical inventory controls and vendor relationships.
- Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Drive a zero‑incident safety culture: update safety programs, conduct training, and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, pesticide/herbicide regulations).
- Implement and audit quality‑control processes and client satisfaction protocols; lead corrective action where necessary.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain operations managers, supervisors, and field crews.
- Set performance expectations, conduct reviews, and develop succession plans.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement culture.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain key client relationships, conduct periodic service reviews, and handle escalations.
- Coordinate with estimating, sales, design, and accounting to ensure seamless cross‑functional operations.
- Lead charge in getting Aspire software set up
- Champion adoption of technology (route optimization, mobile work orders, CRM, telematics) to increase efficiency and visibility.
- Lead process‑improvement initiatives and pilot programs for innovation.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Horticulture, Turf Management, Landscape Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience accepted. - Experience:
7–10+ years in landscape maintenance operations with progressive - Proven track record managing P&L, office staff, crews, fleet/equipment, and safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of turf, ornamental horticulture, irrigation basics, integrated pest management, and seasonal landscape operations.
- Experience with operational systems (fleet telematics, route scheduling, mobile workforce management, CRM) is highly desirable.
- Strategic thinker with strong operational and financial acumen.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team‑building skills.
- Strong problem‑solving, organization, and project‑management ability.
- Effective communicator; comfortable with client‑facing interactions and executive reporting.
- Data‑driven decision maker with comfort using KPIs and dashboards.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or able to obtain if required.
- On‑time completion rate and route adherence
- Customer retention and satisfaction scores (CSAT/NPS)
- Division operating margin and cost‑per‑site metrics
- OSHA/safety incident rates (TRIR/LMR)
- Employee turnover and crew productivity measures
Physical Requirements:
- Combination of office and field work; frequent site visits and occasional weekend/after‑hours support during peak seasons or emergencies.
- Ability to be outdoors in varied weather and lift/assist equipment as needed.
