As Sales Manager, you'll oversee the Commercial Lines sales teams while also operating as a key producer. This dual role requires both leadership and sales performance. You’ll drive new business growth, coach high-performing agents, and foster a strong culture of accountability and service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead team performance to exceed company production targets
- Provide strategic direction, coaching, and sales support
- Launch campaigns and initiatives to drive new business
- Track KPIs and ensure continuous improvement
- Individual New Business Production
- Prospect and secure new commercial clients
- Build and manage a robust personal sales pipeline
- Create custom insurance proposals and close new business
- Maintain strong long-term client relationships
- Lead, coach, and support commercial sales agents
- Conduct regular performance reviews
- Build training plans to enhance skills and knowledge
- Foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture
- Serve as escalation point for complex issues
- Assist agents in resolving client challenges
- Ensure superior client service standards
- Recruit and onboard new sales team members
- Train on products, platforms, and procedures
- Manage performance issues and implement improvement plans Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of proven sales experience (insurance or related preferred)
- History of managing a $300K+ revenue book
- Leadership and team development skills
- Ability to sell and lead concurrently
- Insurance licenses or ability to obtain post-hire
- Experience managing commercial insurance teams
- Strong onboarding and training capability
- CRM experience and performance tracking tools
