Position Purpose
The Director of Compensation supports and guides the design and enterprise-wide administration of the organization’s compensation programs. This role is responsible for the annual compensation cycle, including merit planning, annual incentive/bonus programs, salary structure management, and communication of compensation plans. The Director partners with Total Rewards leadership, HR, and Finance to ensure compensation programs are competitive, equitable, performance-driven, and aligned with business objectives.
This leader also drives the standardization, centralization, and automation of compensation processes to improve efficiency, governance, and scalability across the enterprise.
- Lead the design and administration of base pay structures, incentive plans, and pay-for-performance programs.
- Own the annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, promotional adjustments, and bonus plan funding and payouts.
- Develop and communicate compensation philosophy, programs, and annual plan materials.
- Oversee salary surveys, market benchmarking, and pay equity analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation regulations.
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and compensation modeling.
- Drive standardization and centralization of compensation practices across business units.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline compensation processes and improve data integrity.
- Provide executive-level analytics, reporting, and strategic recommendations.

- 8 + years of progressive compensation experience, including program design and enterprise administration.
- Demonstrated experience leading annual merit and incentive processes.
- Strong expertise in salary structure design, market analysis, and incentive compensation.
- Advanced analytical and Excel skills; HRIS experience (Workday preferred).
- Knowledge of applicable compensation laws and regulations.
- CCP, SHRM‑SCP, or similar certification preferred.

- Experience working in a fast paced, corporate office.
- HS Diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance or other related field.
