General Manager

• Manage a U-Haul moving and storage center
• Keep the center profitable and efficient
• Manage the fleet and deliver clean, well-maintained equipment
• Perform profit/loss analyses
• Hire and mentor new team members
• Track and itemize inventory
• Manage the personnel budget
• Ensure customers receive the highest quality of care
• Track fuel receipts and petty cash
• Clean and monitor the premises and maintain a secure environment
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University
• Solve operational problems as they arise

• 1-3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction
• Computer expertise
• Organizational expertise
• Management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to work weekends and holidays
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
• Able to move a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
• Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritating chemicals and use protective clothing or gear when required

Demonstrates strong management proficiency in high-volume retail environments, focusing on financial results and customer satisfaction. Capable of mentoring team members while ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining a secure and clean facility.
