The Configuration and Data Management Department is seeking a highly motivated Principal Specialist, Engineering Services to join the team on‑site in McKinney, TX. The candidate will handle Data Management (DM) for unclassified and classified tasks across multiple mission‑critical programs, covering all aspects of a product life cycle as part of a fast‑paced team.
What You Will Do- Read the statement of work/1423 forms.
- Understand the integrated master schedule, load submission schedule, and track/status/submit/close submissions while supporting program events.
- Apply CM/DM approach and tools to perform required tasks.
- Work independently while supporting team goals and communicating task status.
- During peak periods, work a modified schedule to support programs.
- Learn Hardware Configuration Management (CM) skills to back up other team members as needed; HW CM handles drawing/work product releases and drawing changes.
- CM/DM approach and CM/DM tools.
- Active and transferable Secret DoD U.S. government‑issued security clearance before start date.
- University degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Experience with Product Data Management tools or ability to learn Windchill Common PDM.
- Understanding of data/configuration management concepts.
- Experience working on tasks in a classified environment.
- Experience working on DoD contracts.
- Ability to read and comprehend the statement of work, 1423 forms, integrated master schedule, and work product management plan.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to solve ad‑hoc issues.
- Strong communication and reading/comprehension skills.
- Prioritization of multiple concurrent tasks.
- 7+ years of related experience.
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
